Decoding Analytics
Understand the metrics that matter most and learn how to interpret your link data.
The Dashboard Overview
When you click on a link in your library, you'll see a detailed analytics view. Here's a breakdown of the key metrics:
1. Total Clicks vs. Unique Visitors
- Total Clicks: The total number of times your link was clicked. If one person clicks a link 5 times, it counts as 5 clicks.
- Unique Visitors: The number of individual people who clicked your link. If one person clicks 5 times, it counts as 1 unique visitor.
2. Top Referrers
This section shows you *where* your traffic is coming from. Common referrers include social media platforms (Instagram, Twitter), search engines (Google), or direct traffic (when someone types the link or uses a bookmark).
3. Geographic Data
See which countries and cities your audience is in. This data is derived from IP addresses and is highly useful for tailoring your marketing to specific regions.
4. Device & Browser Data
Learn whether your audience is primarily on mobile or desktop. This helps you optimize your Lox pages and destination URLs for the right experience.
Pro Tip: Date Filtering
Use the date picker in the top right to view analytics for specific timeframes. This is essential for measuring the success of time-bound promotions or weekly newsletters.
